RE-ENACTMENT

I have been in re-enactment since November 2003. Motivations and reasons that have brought me to be a member this group are essentially the duty of memory, that I think is important more than ever today. My grandfather having been enlisted in the resistance at Vercors during the second world war. Wearing an original uniform during various commemorations of memory day, does not constitute for me a real " amusement " by parading with a " disguise " of WWII period uiform or it is even not a mediocre nostalgia of the war by playing the pseudo soldiers, but it concerns well for me to honor those who have surfered and paid the price for our liberty. Finally It is, and especially an homage to the man who I have not known and who I admire above all, enlisted in 12th Alpine Fighter Battalion in the Vercors from 1943 to 1945: my grandfather.

Finally in the begenning of this year 2005 (with 3 other re-enactors) we decided to found our own re-enactment association "T-Patchers à travers l'europe" http://www.t-patchers.com . I'm still involved in USAAF re-enactment at this time, as it is very special to me due to my granpa's history, i will keep re-enact these men from the 94th BG who flew these very special mission over massif ov Vercors.
